Four Years of Empathic
It’s hard to believe it’s been four years since I first launched Empathic. When I look back to where the brand started — with just a handful of thoughtfully chosen items like shampoo bars, yoga straps, and our popular honey bear hand sanitizer sprays — it feels both like yesterday and a lifetime ago.
In those early days, my vision was simple: to bring together a small, curated collection of products that felt good to use and good to support. Over time, that vision has grown into something so much bigger and more meaningful than I could have imagined.
Over the past four years, the collection of products have expanded to include a range of small-batch wellness and lifestyle products — always with heart, intention, and empathy at the center. From candles and crystal-infused mists to thoughtfully sourced self-care essentials, each item is chosen to make it easier for you to shop consciously, without wondering which brands to trust.
But beyond the products, what truly fills my heart is the community we’ve built together. Through countless pop-ups around the Chicagoland area, I've had the joy of meeting so many of you face to face: sharing stories, learning about what matters most to you, and connecting with other passionate small business owners who inspire me daily.
Your support — whether it’s a kind word at a market, an order placed online, or a simple follow on social media — has helped Empathic keep going and keep growing. I am so deeply grateful for every one of you who has been part of this journey.
And I am so excited about what’s ahead! For starters, you can now find a few of our favorite products locally at Lumi's Shoppe in Mount Prospect, IL. We hope this is just the beginning of making Empathic’s curated collection more accessible throughout the Chicagoland area.
Thank you for being here with us — for choosing small batch, heart-led products and for believing in what we do. Here’s to continuing this journey together, with even more magic, mindfulness, and connection in the years to come.
With so much gratitude,
Gina Martirano
